The Portuguese Glial Network (Rede Glial) is a collaborative initiative that unites researchers from Portugal and abroad, focusing on the study of glial cells in the central nervous system. Annual Symposia
The network organizes annual symposia that serve as platforms for presenting and discussing the latest research in glial cell biology. These events feature invited speakers, selected oral presentations, and poster sessions.Iberian Glial Networks Symposium
An online symposium co-organized with the Spanish Glial Network, aimed at providing a platform for students, postdocs, and junior PIs to present and discuss their work in an international setting.
Membership and Community
The network boasts over 360 members from 60 institutions across 19 countries. Membership is free and open to anyone interested in glial cell research. Members receive regular updates on activities, job opportunities, and events related to glial science.
Collaborations and Outreach
Rede Glial actively collaborates with international partners, including the Spanish Glial Network and the French Glial Cell Club, to organize joint events and initiatives that promote the exchange of knowledge and foster a collaborative research environment.
